SOURCE ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: 5'3'' but surprisingly heavy due to a heavy bone structure. She's covered in scars, most notably around her neck and chest area, including one long surgical scar that goes from chest to navel. She's got long, long blonde hair, is very pale, and has bright blue eyes. Her half-mermaid form (that is, the form associated with mermaids in stories, half-fish, half-girl) features a tail that's blue in color and covered in scales, obviously. In this form her teeth are notably sharp and pointier and she blinks much less. Her full-mermaid form is the more monstrous version, featuring large, protruding fangs that make it difficult to close her mouth, larger eyes, scales that climb up her body more, webbed fingers, and a photophore dorsal fin ray. I don't have any concrete pictures of this form but these will give you an idea: X X X ♚ FASHION: Oona wear as little as she can get away with. Typically this includes flipflops if she's forced to wear any kind of shoe, short-shorts, and a tank top or crop top. Sometimes adds sunglasses if she gets annoyed with the sun. She tends to buy anything flashy and pretty that catches her eye and enjoys wearing lots of jewelry. ♚ DEMEANOUR: She stands and walks with her head held high and chest pushed out as if putting her scars on display and daring anyone to say anything about them. She's a very prideful person and this holds over to how she carries herself--however, keen observers may notice that this seems over-exaggerated, as though she's forcing herself to overcompensate or something. And she definitely is. Fake it until you make it, right? ♚ AURAL: Oona speaks in heavily broken English-- it's not that she couldn't speak perfectly passable english, she just purposefully chooses not to. This in partly because she used it to piss off the scientists by purposefully fucking up their lessons. Mostly, however, it's just because she believes humans use too many filler-words and it's ridiculous-- you could say pretty much the same thing using fewer words, so Oona does just that. She tends to stumble over difficult words still though and frequently forgets the right words to use. She uses 'ehh' a lot as a filler-sound as she tries to think of a word. She does have an accent, it seems to be a weird mix of Swedish/Russian despite obviously not being of those nationalities. Her real language is based on music, different notes, octaves/pitches/etc that all convey different impressions, not actual words. It's more like singing. ♚ OLFACTORY: the sea, which is a cliche but fuck u. She bathes frequently though and uses whatever shampoos/conditioner/soaps etc smells best to her at the time, it's always changing. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Oona has no shields or anything, so just let me know if there's anything more I can add to tags or anything if you play a telepath. Even without the mind reading though, Oona's an open book. Her behavior 90% of the time will reflect what she's thinking, she's very honest. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Oona is v. obviously not human, a mermaid, and associated with all things that ould fall under the water element. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: Yep! I will drop threads if they seem to be over, but if I don't respond back for a few days and you have ideas for the thread/want it to continue, just drop me a line and I'll be glad to pick it back up. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: She's an OC so there's nothing to fourthwall, unfortunately. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: cackles. Please do! Oona is a very phsyically affectionate person, so as long as your character hasn't made her hate them, she'll accept it and retrn it in kind. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Oona is stronger than she looks, but doesn't have any formal training fighting out of water. On land anyone else will have the advantage, but in the water it would be incredibly difficult to win over her. Not impossible of course, as Oona is easily distracted and placated but still.
